LibreOffice Suite

Although ChromeOS includes a powerful office suite powered by Google Drive, some users may prefer a locally installed office suite. LibreOffice is a free and open-source office productivity suite, developed by The Document Foundation. It includes several applications for word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, diagrams, and databases, which can be used to create, edit, and share documents in various formats, including Microsoft Office formats. LibreOffice is compatible with multiple operating systems, such as Windows, Mac, and Linux, and is available in over 100 languages. It also offers advanced features and customization options, making it a popular alternative to proprietary office suites.

It is also better suited to higher end ChromeOS devices and may not perform well on lower-end ChromeOS devices. Documents and presentations created with LibreOffice may consume a large amount of space on your machine which may limit its use on machines with smaller disks
