ChromeOS Virtual Desks

ChromeOS allows users to simulate having multiple displays using virtual desks. You can access virtual desks by tapping on the ChromeOS Activities overview. Once you are in the activity overview, there is a strip at the top of your display to create and remove virtual desks. ChromeOS allows you to have up to 8 virtual desks. You can rename the desks to make them easier to quickly find what you need.

Moving Applications Between Virtual Desks

Moving applications between virtual desks is done by dragging the application to the desktop you wish to use when you are in the activity overview. Alternatively, you can also move applications between desks by right-clicking on the title bar of the application and selecting "Move Window To Desk" and selecting the desk you wish to move the application.

Alt + Tab Behavior

When you have enabled Virtual Desks, ChromeOS's "Alt+Tab" functions will automatically adapt to the Virtual Desks and allow you to quickly jump between applications across virtual desks.
