Scanning Documents and Photos

ChromeOS can connect to many modern scanners over a USB or Network connection. Generally, scanners made by HP tend to be very well-supported, while scanners made by Brother are largely known not to work. Please consult the manufacturer of your scanner to inquire about ChromeOS support with their products.

If you have a device that does support scanning on ChromeOS, you will need to open the "Scan" application from the ChromeOS launcher, which will automatically search for and connect to scanners on your network or over a USB connection. Once the Scan application does connect to a scanner, you will see the option to preview the pages and save scanned documents to your ChromeOS Device.
