ChromeOS Extended Support Release (ESR)
Some ChromeOS Devices have the ability to opt-in to recieve updates after the official EUA date by enrolling the device into the ChromeOS ESR Program. This will allow your device to continue to recieve critical security updates however there are some sacrifices, specifically the loss of Android Support.
If your device supports Extended Support Releases of ChromeOS, you will get the option to enable Extended Support Releases of ChromeOS from the ChromeOS Updates Page. This process will require you to accept a disclaimer advising you that Android Support will be removed if you choose to recieve further updates. If Android Support is important to you, and you accept the risks of using an outdated version of ChromeOS, you should not proceed with the enrollment into the ESR program.
It is important to note that ESR updates will not include any new features and will only include security updates and bug fixes.
