ChromeOS Bluetooth Settings

The ChromeOS Bluetooth menu is accessed via the ChromeOS settings application by clicking on Bluetooth within the ChromeOS Settings Screen. Bluetooth's devices are shared globally with all users on your ChromeOS Device, you do not need to re-pair devices once you switch users.

Adding a new Bluetooth Device

When opening the Bluetooth menu, your device will automatically start searching for nearby Bluetooth devices that are in "pairing mode" and list them under "Unpaired Devices". Please refer to the manufacturer's instructions for the device you wish to pair for instructions to set the device into pairing mode. Generally, most items can be placed into pairing mode by holding down the power button on the device for several seconds or by pressing on a dedicated Bluetooth pairing button.

Disconnecting a Bluetooth Device

ChromeOS will list all the devices you have connected to under the "Paired Devices". When a device is connected, you will see the remaining battery percentage of the accessory under each device name. You may sometimes wish to disconnect from the device; you can do this by clicking on the menu next to the device you wish to disconnect from and selecting "Disconnect". Alternatively, you can power down the accessory, which will also disconnect it from your device.

Removing a Bluetooth Device

If you wish to remove a Bluetooth accessory from your ChromeOS Device, you can do this via the menu drop down that is next to each of the listed devices and choosing "Remove from list". Once a device is removed, you will need to place it into pairing mode and locate it under "Unpaired Devices" to re-pair the accessory to your device.
