External Displays
External Displays offer a portable way to bring a second display with you when you are away from your desk. Portable Displays are easy to slip into a backpack and often do not need to be connected to external power as they draw their power from the ChromeOS device when connected via USB-Type C. Some External Displays even include embedded batteries that can charge and power your ChromeOS Device when connected via USB Type C.
Some External Displays may include a touchscreen, this is fully supported on ChromeOS when connected via USB Type-C.
If you do not have a ChromeOS Device that supports video output over USB Type-C, you can still use an External Display, however, will need to connect your ChromeOS device via HDMI. Most external displays support HDMI Input, but may require you to purchase the HDMI cable separately. If you do use an HDMI Cable to connect your ChromeOS Device to an external display, you will need to power your External Display via a USB Power Supply or use a USB Type-C Battery Bank.
