Google Stadia was Google's Cloud-Based Game streaming service that offers access to a catalog of hundreds of PCs and Console Quality games for customers to stream. Google shut-down Stadia on January 18, 2023. Unlike installing games locally, you will need access to a fairly fast and stable internet connection to take full advantage of Google Stadia.

Much like streaming video, Game Streaming can consume a lot of bandwidth, which may be a problem for some on a mobile connection or those with a metered connection.

Stadia offered several options from a monthly "Stadia Premium" subscription which let you access a catalog of hundreds of games at no additional cost. However, there were several high tiered games that will need an additional one-time purchase. If you do not wish to purchase a subscription to Stadia, you can simply make a one-time purchase of the games you wish to play and play them on any device, including your ChromeOS device.
