- ChromeVox Support for App Streaming: Users can now navigate streaming Android apps using ChromeVox, enhancing accessibility for screen reader users.
- Keyboard Shortcut for Dictation: Dictation can now be enabled using
Search + D
or the dictation key on compatible Logitech keyboards.
ChromeOS Flex Support Updates
- End of Life for Select ChromeOS Flex Devices: As of January 1, 2024, support has ended for ChromeOS Flex devices that reached their end of life in 2023. These devices will still receive updates but without testing or maintenance.
- Recommended Upgrade: Users are encouraged to switch to newer ChromeOS Flex-certified models or ChromeOS devices for continued feature and security support.
Productivity and Enterprise Features
- Borderless Printing: Compatible printers can now print photos without borders when using photographic paper.
- No More Assistant Onboarding Messages: The initial onboarding messages when launching Google Assistant for the first time on ChromeOS have been removed.
- Additional Security Insights: ChromeOS Data Control events now include more fields to enhance administrative insights within the security investigation tool.
- Enterprise Data Loss Prevention (DLP) File Restrictions: New DLP rules allow IT admins to control file actions such as copy-paste, screen capture, screen sharing, and printing based on source, destination, and user role.
