Google TV and Movies

Google TV, formerly known as Google Play Movies, is Google's paid video service which allows you to purchase movies and TV shows from Google and stream them on any of your supported devices. ChromeOS devices can also download the Android version of Google TV from the Google Play Store, which will allow you to download content offline.

Google TV is not a subscription service; you make a one-time payment to either rent or purchase a TV show or feature length video. Once you purchase a TV show or video, you can watch it as many times as you wish, rentals will expire after the rental period ends.

Video Rental

You can rent a video from Google TV. Rentals vary in costs, but are often less expensive than purchasing the content.

Video or TV Episode Purchase

You can purchase videos or TV shows from Google TV to allow you to access the video or TV show as often as you wish.

If you are on a Google account with a family sharing library and purchase the TV show or Video via the family payment method, any purchase will be available to all users on your family sharing plan at no additional cost. All purchased videos are also available on YouTube at no additional cost to watch on the web-based version of the website, they will be under "Purchases".
