Google Chat

Over the past several years, Google has maintained several different chat services for real-time text-based conversations. Google's first iteration of a chat platform was known as Google Talk, of GTalk which was later replaced with Google Hangouts. Google Hangouts later evolved into Google Chat.

Accessing Google Chat

ChromeOS users have several ways to access Google Chat;

• Via GMail Integration - Google Chat is integrated directly into the GMail Web Interface.
• Via Web Interface - You may access Google Chat via the Chrome Web Browser by navigating to https://chat.google.com .
• Via Android Application - If your device supports Android Applications, you may install the Android version of Google Chat from the Google Play Store.
