ChromeOS System Applications

ChromeOS includes several system applications that are pre-installed on your ChromeOS device and cannot be uninstalled or modified by the user. These pre-installed system applications consume a minimal amount of space on your ChromeOS device and offer several useful enhancements. Unlike user-installed applications, ChromeOS System-Level Applications are allowed to access restricted ChromeOS APIs, which allow these applications to access local resources on your ChromeOS devices and make system-wide changes. This section of the ChromeOS Guide was designed to provide a detailed overview of these applications.

Unlike most Google Services, ChromeOS System Applications are exclusive to ChromeOS and are not designed to function on Non-ChromeOS Devices.
