ESI (Gateway/Epik)
ESI is a manufacturing facility that manufacturers ChromeOS devices for several major brands such as Gateway and EpikLearning. ESI uses ChromeOS reference schematics along with guidance from the brands who contract with them in order to manufacturer custom devices for each of the companies they build devices for.
It is important to note, if you do experience any hardware issues that need to be resolved under warranty, your warranty is with the company that the ChromeOS device was manufactured for and not ESI directly. The ChromeOS Guide will reference ESI as the manufacturer of these devices as this is used within the ChromeOS recovery tool and the ChromeOS source code.
